Neck Lift - What’s Involved

  • Neck Lift in Bangkok, Thailand | Azurite Cosmetic Surgery Packages

A neck lift in Bangkok, Thailand, also known as lower rhytidectomy, is a surgical solution to improve visible signs of aging in the jawline and neck. Factors like stress, weight gain, environmental conditions, and heredity can cause loss of youthful contours in the neck and face.

If you are bothered by excess skin, heavy wrinkles or other signs of aging, a neck lift surgery in Thailand can help to effectively balance and smooth out the neck and chin areas. Some common problems that lead people to consider a neck lift include:

    • Excess fat and skin relaxation in the lower face creating jowls

    • Excess fatty deposits underneath the chin

    • Loose neck skin

    • Muscle banding in the neck, creating abnormal contours

Azurite offers personalized neck lift procedures designed to suit the individual needs of each patient. If you feel you might benefit from a neck lift, consult with one of our experienced plastic or facial plastic surgeons.

A neck lift is commonly combined with a lower facelift, although it can also be performed as an individual procedure. Depending on the severity of skin excess, the procedure may involve liposuction plus tightening of the neck muscle under the chin.

  • The neck lift surgery begins with a small incision under the jaw to tighten the skin and underlying platysma muscles of the neck. The surgeon will then insert a small liposuction cannula to remove excess fat and contour the chin and neck. If you have a lot of loose skin, an incision behind the ears may be necessary to perform skin re-draping around the neck.

In some cases, treating the submaxillary glands by trimming the enlarged or drooping part may also be necessary. The neck is then shaped for a natural and youthful result. During your consultation, your surgeon will examine your neck, discuss your goals, and create an individualized surgery plan.

The entire neck lift procedure takes about 3-4 hours to perform. It is usually done under general anesthesia and requires an overnight stay in the hospital, although this can vary case by case.
